Umea, Sweden was the venue for the partners' kick-off meeting to kick start the three-year Step Up Equality project.

The meeting brought together the seven partners from six different countries to exchange ideas, formulate strategies and evaluate outputs and objectives for the Step Up Equality (SUE) project, as well as identifying the challenges to come in the year ahead and analysing the next steps, which including the setting up of a Steering Committee to co-ordinate key elements of the project.

Other upcoming outputs will include the preparation of training paths, a handbook of mapped good practices and analysis of a monitoring system for discrimination in grassroots sport. The project partners enjoyed two days of fruitful discussion in the north of Sweden and are looking ahead to a productive 2019!
